
As part of the annual educational trip of the M.Sc. Programme in Marketing & Communication, the programme’s students visited Prague from 22 to 26 April 2026, experiencing a particularly rich programme that combined knowledge, professional networking, and cultural experiences.
The trip included a visit to the museum, factory, and headquarters of Škoda, where students had the opportunity to attend interesting presentations by the company’s Sales Manager for Greece and Corporate Strategy Lead. Through these presentations, they gained first-hand insight into the strategy, operations, and international activity of Škoda as a member of the VW Group.
This was followed by a visit to the Prague University of Economics and Business, where presentations were delivered by the Ambassador of Greece to the Czech Republic, Mr. Dinos Konstantinou; Assoc. Prof. Václav Stříteský, Vice-Dean for Communication and Corporate Relations at the Faculty of Business Administration; and Ms. Irini Szentiványi, Director of Healthcare Projects and Strategic Development at AKESO Holding.
The experience was completed with tours through the historic streets and monuments of Prague, giving students the opportunity to discover the city and combine learning with a cultural experience.

During the academic year 2024-2025, the M.Sc. Programme organised an educational trip to Rome, Italy, from 7 to 11 May 2025.
During the trip, students from the programme’s three tracks attended a lecture entitled “Sustainability Marketing: Balancing Purpose and Profit” by Prof. Massimiliano Farina Briamonte at the University of Roma Tre, while they also participated in a workshop on sustainability and greenwashing.
The experience was completed with organised guided tours through the historic streets and monuments of Rome, giving students the opportunity to discover the city and combine learning with a cultural experience.

The M.Sc. Programme in Marketing & Communication of the Athens University of Economics and Business has completed the evaluation process and received accreditation by the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education.
Specifically, it was rated EXCELLENT (fully compliant) in all 10 accreditation sections, which are:
- Quality policy and objectives
- Programme design and structure
- Assessment of student-centred learning and teaching
- Candidate selection process and recognition of the postgraduate degree
- Teaching staff and learning resources
- Information management
- Public information and social media presence
- Continuous internal monitoring and evaluation
- Evaluation by accreditation bodies and/or international organisations for the ranking/evaluation of M.Sc. programmes
- Periodic external evaluation
The main characteristics of the M.Sc. Programme, as highlighted by the evaluation committee, are:
- Its strong and well-established reputation in the market
- Its strong connection with the professional world and foreign academics, as well as its cooperation with the advisory committee
- The expertise of the teaching staff in the subjects they teach
- The option to choose among the three tracks of the M.Sc. Programme: full-time, part-time, and full-time with international orientation

The three tracks of the programme visited Bucharest and Sinaia in Romania as part of the educational trip, held on 12–16 May 2024.
During this trip, the postgraduate students had the opportunity to visit the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and attend a lecture by Professor Radu Cristian Musetescu and Mr. Pantelis Giannoulis, First Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of Greece in Bucharest, on Greece–Romania trade relations. In addition, a day trip to the city of Sinaia took place, including a visit to the Alexandrion Experience Hotel, a member of the Alexandrion Group. During the visit, students had the opportunity to discuss marketing and communication issues within a large group of companies with executives of the Alexandrion Group.
This unique experience provided valuable knowledge to the programme’s students, while also offering opportunities for social interaction and networking.

As part of its social responsibility and community contribution initiatives, the M.Sc. Programme in “Marketing & Communication” donated 51 Apple iPad tablets to the Hatzikyriakio Childcare Institution.
The iPads were delivered on Friday, 23 February 2024, at the Institution’s premises in Piraeus, in the presence of the Institution’s Events Coordinator, Mr. Ilias Patsouros, and the representatives of the M.Sc. Programme in “Marketing & Communication”, Professor Paraskevas Argouslidis and Assistant Professor Areti Gypali.
